What is Business Launchpad?

Business Launchpad is an intensive training program designed to equip participants with the essential skills to develop, market, and grow their businesses.

 

Who is the audience?  

This program is ideal for aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs seeking guidance and support in growing their businesses.

 

Is there a cost?

Thanks to the generous support from NU and the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology, this Launchpad program is entirely free!

Pitch Contest November 2024

The next Pitch Contest aims to encourage entrepreneurs in all stages of business concepts to participate. This competition is an excellent opportunity to pitch business concepts to a panel of judges with a chance to win financial funding for your business.

Who should participate?

  • Individuals with an idea to start a business

  • Individuals who have created a company

  • Individuals interested in enhancing their presentation skills

  • Individuals who want to explore the idea of starting a company

Ideas presented may be at any stage, and the preliminary competition is split into two groups:

  • Group 1 – Preliminary: Concepts in the idea stage – with no revenues, prototypes, or products.

  • Group 2 – Preliminary: Concepts beyond the idea stage – with revenues, prototypes, or products.

After individuals advance through preliminary rounds, there will be a semi-final competition, and the winners of the semi-final rounds will present at next year’s National University Symposium.

Funding Awards:

First Place: $1,000

Second Place: $500

Third Place: $ 250
