Dr. Syleecia Thompson is a full-time professor at National University and Director of the Center for Business Innovation, Entrepreneurialism and Management. She's also an Entertainment Entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in entertainment and more than $12 million in booked and produced projects.
Dr. Thompson bridges culture and commerce by creating, producing and developing impactful and innovative music, television, and film projects. Beyond her entertainment ventures, she serves as an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship & Business at National University (USA), where she inspires and mentors the next generation of creators, leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
As a global speaker and educator, she travels the world empowering creators and entrepreneurs to use their creativity to attain wealth. She's authored two books. Rhythm Without Blues: The Dichotomy of a Music Genre was released in 2010. In 2021, she released her Amazon bestselling book The Resilience Factor: How to Face Adversity, Trauma and Tragedy Like a Superhero, a deeply personal and introspective guide born from her own journey through pregnancy loss, a battle with breast cancer, and the challenges of navigating a global pandemic. Her work is anchored in purpose to build global creative economies, educate entrepreneurs, amplify untold stories, and create opportunities that leave a lasting cultural legacy.
